JANUARY 2025

Happy New Year 2025. We wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. We are sew excited to begin our 30th year in business. What a great honor to be able to serve this great sewing community for the past 29 years. Thank you to all who have supported us.

 Sew n Sew is the areas  largest retailer for Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff sewing and  embroidery machines. We offer unlimited owners classes with every purchase as well as in house service. We have the complete line of accessories for both Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff brands. 

Sew n Sew is also the areas ACCUQUILT  distributor for the Go! line of cutters and dies, with classes to support and inspire you to cut time and quilt more!

 A full line of sewing furniture, cabinets and chairs are also available at Sew n Sew including  Koala, Horn of America and Arrow. And now, to  complete your sewing room we have picked up the Stella Lighting line including floor lamps, table and portable LED lights. The future looks bright!!

Sew n Sew is your edutainment center. We look forward to sewing with you in 2025.

“HOOP DE DO” ON THE EPIC 3

Come try the three new hoops exclusive to the Designer Epic 3. Two new innovative hoops by Husqvarna Viking let you create like never before. The Special Technique Hoop allows you to embroider on both sides of the fabric without having to remove it from the hoop. Easily combine reverse embroidery techniques like felting and bobbin work with traditional embroidery to create one of a kind designs. Easily embroider tubular garments or items like bags, baby onesies, etc without undoing any seams with the Free Arm Embroidery Hoop. BEGINNER SEWING FOR ADULTS

Learn garment construction, quilting techniques, embroidery machine skills, accessories and bags. Choose your project from a pattern, book etc.(required) and receive the help you need to complete your project. This class is for beginners or experienced sewists alike. Choose the hours that work for you. $8 per hour. Teacher: Bonnie

ACCUQUILT GLORIFIED NINE PATCH

INTRODUCTION TO THE QUILT BINDER ATTACHMENT

SEW FUN COLLAGE QUILTING

Collage Quilting can be done by anyone! No experience necessary. Collage Quilting is actually scrap booking with fabric. If you can use a scissors, you can do it! Sewing is optional.

SERGER CUDDLE WRAP

Quick and easy, the Cuddle Wrap is a great beginner serger project. Experiment with decorative threads for a great edge finish. Cuddle wraps are wonderful for keeping baby warm and cozy. BEGINNER APPLIQUÉ

Choose a pattern to appliqué on a tea towel or your favorite mug mat, table topper, or table runner  from our many patterns and books. A great class for beginners of all ages to learn and master the basics of raw edge appliqué. You can trace with pencil and cut with scissors or try an AccuQuilt die! You will learn tips for adhesives, mirror image and silhouettes.

KIMBERBELL HAPPY PLACE  ROPE BOWLS

This hot new technique, creating rope bowls is so much fun. Choose sizes 5X7 or 8X8 embroidery designs to embellish the bowl center. Use the Kimberbell Embellishment kit to add decorative beads, leather tags and tassels. Teacher: Deb $30 10-4

JELLY ROLL SLICE RUG

All it takes is one jelly roll and one roll of Katahdin cotton batting to create this stunning and functional rug. Choose from a wide variety of jelly rolls (2 ½”  strips) to make it your own color combination. You could also use the Accuquilt strip cutter and scraps. Fun and beginner friendly, and now even easier with the Clover 2 piece tube maker, no clips, no pins, just fold and stitch.  Teacher: Bonnie $30 10-4

This table runner from Amelie Scott is from the new book “ Edge to Edge Pro”. This technique builds on the original Edge to Edge Quilting.  MySEWNET ECO SYSTEM

Learn to use the  WI-FI and the cloud, the MySewnet Library, and the available apps to make your embroidery fun and easy. You can also use MySewnet software to easily send designs directly to and from your WI-FI enabled embroidery machine. $30 or Free if machine was purchased at Sew n Sew.

Are you forever looking for towels? The search is over for one of the most useful items to cheer up any kitchen. The Accuquilt towel topper die opens the door to using your creativity in making clever hanging towels for every season. Using pre-made towels make it even easier. BEGINNER PAPER PIECE

Choose your favorite mini quilt from one of the many patterns or books we carry, or the new EZBlocks flying geese pre-printed foundations.  This is the perfect class for beginners who want to learn, master, and love the technique of paper piecing in a short time. $15  Teacher: Deb 10-1

OESD WHOLE CLOTH CHRISTMAS STOCKING TILE SCENE

How would you like to make these Christmas stockings as a whole cloth type embroidery? We can! Rather than stitching  out five separate tiles and assembling later, we can combine them in software. Embroidery software is required to remove the overlaps and combine them into one hooping. This is a great small project to try this amazing technique. $30 Teacher: Deb 10-4

COVERSTITCH CANDY CANE TABLE RUNNER

 Let’s try using decorative and functional stitches on your serger. Stitch up this giant candy cane table runner and coordinating napkins and ties. Build your serger skills with Coverstitch Appliqué, Decorative chainstitch, piping and rolled edge.

STERLING JACKET

The Sterling jacket is a button front jacket with front plackets, side panels, bias flounce and stand-up double collar. Each cut-on long sleeve has two darts. Finish the edges with a three thread serger rolled edge or traditional turned and topstitched hems. Beginner friendly. $30 Teacher: Bonnie 10-4

SERGER FRINGE PILLOW

Did you know you could make fringe on a serger? Use the two thread wrapped stitch designed for stretch fabrics to create fancy fringe. We will also experiment with cover stitch, rolled edge, and other serger techniques. Come and try out one of our fabulous air thread sergers. It is SO easy! Teacher: Bonnie $30

EDGE-TO-EDGE EMBROIDERY QUILTING

Bring in a “ready to quilt” project (table runner, bench pillow backing, panel, baby, or lap quilt) and choose the best all-over quilting design from Amelie Scott Designs. These designs come in three sizes and multiple formats so they will work for most embroiderers. You will learn how and where to start quilting, consider your hoop options, including magnetic, and learn tips for re-hooping using design positioning for continuous quilting.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH CLASSES

 

NEW - ACCUQUILT SAMPLER 

Learn to use the Go! Mix and Match Block system with Eleanor Burns. Eleanor Burns has directed her engineering skills to her new “Best Friends”, The amazing GO! Cutters. A “quilt in a day” is now a “ Quilt in half the time”.  Smart Stacking and Smart Cutting,  are a few new techniques. Blocks are quick, precise, and fun to make, and most take less than half hour from cutting to sewing. We are making a 12 block sampler, completing two blocks per month. $25 includes fabric kit. NEW- TULIPAN

Tulipan will be a seven month Block of the Month introducing “Peeled-Back Patchwork,” a fun and intriguing technique with dimensional curves and straight -line piecing that gives a curved result. Pattern starts with the easiest block and builds up to more advanced blocks. The quilt has 6 different blocks which are repeated, and are set side by side to make an 841/2” square quilt.

NEW-DUTCH BEAUTY QUILT

Dutch Beauty will be a four month foundation pieced Block of the Month. EZPatterns include the foundation material that we will  piece on. The best part is no paper backing to remove! Blocks include Courthouse Steps, Dutchman’s Puzzle and New York Beauty. Sashings and Border complete this 34X34 wall quilt the fourth month. $25 includes fabrics.

CLASS POLICY

In order to insure your place in class, payment must be made at time of registration. Please register early so teachers and students can plan ahead. Refunds will only be given if the teacher cancels the class due to low enrollment or emergency. No exceptions. Cancellations will be made two days prior to class.  Class fees are not transferable to other classes unless the class is cancelled. Classes cancelled due to bad weather will be re-scheduled, or refunded. Please pick up supply list and supplies prior to class. Most classes require the purchase of a pattern or book; this is required per copyright laws. You will receive a 10% discount on all supplies on the list.   

 

CLASSROOM MACHINES

Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff sergers, sewing and embroidery machines are available for classroom use at NO CHARGE! Please let us know if you want to use one, so we can get it ready for you. This is a great way to test drive.

 

TRADE-UP POLICY

When you purchase a new or previously loved sewing machine or serger from Sew n Sew, you have a full year to upgrade that machine and receive 100% of your purchase price toward the MSRP price of a new machine. Minimum of $300 to be considered an upgrade.
