SEPTEMBER 2020

Two brand new Husqvarna Viking models are arriving at the end of September. The Sapphire 85 is a sewing and embroidery machine replacing the Brilliance 80. Enhancements include a larger brighter screen and Sewnet Library capability.

The Epic 95Q will replace the current Epic 980. Like the Epic 2 it will have the integrated dual feed, 9mm stitches, laser guidance and new stitches. Awesome!!

Both classrooms are large enough to safely distance 6-8 students. Our classes have been filling up recently and we are thrilled to be able to offer edutainment with your safety a priority.

EMBROIDERY, QUILTING AND SEWING RETREAT OCTOBER 2-4                     

The October retreat has moved to the Ramada Hotel this year so that we can distance everyone comfortably. The banquet room has accommodated 80+ sewists in the past. We are limiting our numbers to 30. Currently there are 5 spots available. $100 covers room rental, meals and assistance from three top educators. Deb, Ann and Bonnie will be there to help with any projects. Rooms are available under the “Sew n Sew” block for $85 + tax for single or double occupancy. Call the Ramada at 715-258-4294 to reserve your room. The banquet room will be available Friday 9 AM. OESD EMBROIDERY GARDEN PARTY – NOV 13 & 14

A two day Embroidery Event filled with embroidery, friends and fun. In this two day event, you will learn to create six different projects, plus you will learn valuable embroidery tips and techniques to make your projects more successful and less stressful! SEWING WORKSHOP

This class is replacing the Learn to Sew class and the Heirloom Workshop. Learn to sew garments with a sewing machine or serger, work on heirloom projects, or get help with unfinished class projects. FRENCH SEWING AND LACE SHAPING FOR BEGINNERS

This is a prerequisite for all of the Martha Pullen Heirloom classes. Learn to join lace-to-lace, lace to entredeaux, entredeaux to fabric and other French Sewing techniques. We will use the Premier+2 Modify module to edit a design into seven new elements. Then we will use Encore to build a larger design that can be used for a table runner. We will incorporate the use of Split Project Wizard to cut this full design into the proper size to stitch out in the 360X200 hoop. Premier Modify module will be used in this lesson. LET GO OF MY GECKO

This is a one-hooping embroidery project. Make one, and you’ll want to make more, simply because there are so many specialty fabric options to choose from. Options include vinyl, cosplay, glitter, sequins etc. The best part of the way your gecko is made is that this stuffed animal doesn’t have to be turned right side out! You decide what filling to use and if your gecko is lazy or active. This gecko was created in the Premier +2 software. These fun creatures make great stocking stuffers. $15 Teacher: Ann

NEW BLOCK OF THE MONTH - TRIP AROUND THE SUN

MY LACE MAKER BY DIME

Designing your own lace designs is easy, no digitizing skills required. The software has all the tools you need to transform any embroidery design into freestanding lace. We will explore the many features of My Lace Maker software. $15 per lesson unless you already have the USB .

CLASS POLICY

In order to ensure your place in class, payment must be made at time of registration. Please register early so teachers and students can plan ahead. Refunds will only be given if the teacher cancels the class due to low enrollment or emergency. No exceptions. Cancellations will be made two days prior to class. You may send someone else in your place if you cannot attend. Class fees are not transferable to other classes unless the class is cancelled. Classes cancelled due to bad weather will be rescheduled or refunded. Please pick up supply list and supplies prior to class. Most classes require the purchase of a pattern or book; this is required per copyright laws. You will receive a 10% discount on all supplies on the list.  NEW-- Class sizes may be limited, so sign up early. If we reach maximum size class we will start a waiting list and schedule another date.

 

CLASSROOM MACHINES

Husqvarna Viking sergers, sewing and embroidery machines are available for classroom use at NO CHARGE! Please let us know if you want to use one, so we can get it ready for you. This is a great way to test drive.

 

TRADE-UP POLICY

When you purchase a new or previously loved sewing machine or serger from Sew n Sew, you have a full year to upgrade that machine and receive 100% of your purchase price toward the MSRP price of a new machine. Minimum of $300 to be considered an upgrade.
