PATCHABILITIES BY MACHINE EMBROIDERY Patchabilities is well known for their appliqué wall quilts with traditional blanket stitch or satin stitch and is now available as machine embroidery! Patterns come with a USB ready to load onto your embroidery machine. Kick it up a notch by programming stitches into the embroidery to quilt the backgrounds before doing the appliqué embroidery. This new series features monthly two part quilts. One is the name of the month topping the seasonal second quilt. There is a special stand to accommodate both little quilts. UFO RETREAT WEEKENDS Join Ann at the Appleton store to set up a work station for two whole days to start or finish whatever you’ve had on your to-do wish list! You’ll be free from distractions at home, have the support of other sewists, and meals will be provided. Use this time to finish odds and ends, piece a quilt, work on embroidery, or other projects of your choice. WALK QUILTING What kind of quilting can be done with a walking foot? Much more than stitch in the ditch! CUSTOM QUILTING ON YOUR EMBROIDERY MACHINE- BEGINNER In this book by Amelie Scott you’ll find the quilt patterns and the custom quilting embroidery files for each of the six quilts. This is a wonderful book for first time or advanced quilters. There are a variety of patterns and you choose the size you want to make from runner to quilt. FLIPPED PLACE SETTINGS These placemats are a great place to showcase a beautiful large print and coordinating fabrics. They go together quickly with a flip and stitch technique that avoids working with bias edges. BEGINNING QUILT CAMP II Blocks with triangles and appliqué. Pat Sloan’s book” Teach Me to Make My First Quilt” is our reference to make a small quilt or table runner from start to finish. Learn several methods for making half square triangles and flying geese. Give appliqué a try in one or two blocks and see if you like it. Start with rotary cutting guidelines and end with a walking foot and binding. No experience necessary. INTRODUCTION TO FREE MOTION QUILTING Learn how to prepare for free motion quilting, including your mind, body, machine and a quilt project. Next, we’ll test drive the process. You can choose to draw boxes on a whole cloth or bring in a pieced sampler. In each block you will test drive a different method of free motion quilting. It’s not for everyone, but if you like the concept of free motion, you’ll go home and practice to perfect the process. WANDER LANE BLOCK OF THE MONTH This fun quilt by Art to Heart features a specially themed house block each month. The 12”X12” blocks feature a pieced background with a one inch checked bottom border. Learn to use an appliqué pressing sheet and Clover mini iron to combine and place your pieces. ACCUQUILT QUBE GEESE IN THE CORNER BLOCK OF THE MONTH Geese in the corner is a great opportunity to experience the Accuquilt Qube System . We will be using the 10” Qube and Companion sets for this 70X70 quilt. The quilt has a southwestern look to it, but with a twist, Flying geese adorn two of the border corners. You will be hooked on the AccuQuilt system for cutting and piecing perfect blocks every time. $25 per month includes fabrics. WILLOW LAKE BLOCK OF THE MONTH Willow Lake is another great quilt by Material Girlfriends featuring traditional piecing and appliqué. The woodsy lake theme evokes a feeling of tranquility with geese, egret, cattails and boats This one would be great for the gentleman in your life. $25 per month includes fabric kits. CLASS POLICY In order to insure your place in class, payment must be made at time of registration. Please register early so teachers and students can plan ahead. Refunds will only be given if the teacher cancels the class due to low enrollment or emergency. No exceptions. Cancellations will be made two days prior to class. You may send someone else in your place if you cannot attend. Class fees are not transferable to other classes unless the class is cancelled. Classes cancelled due to bad weather will be re-scheduled, or refunded. Please pick up supply list and supplies prior to class. Most classes require the purchase of a pattern or book; this is required per copyright laws. You will receive a 10% discount on all supplies on the list.
CLASSROOM MACHINES Husqvarna Viking sergers, sewing and embroidery machines are available for classroom use at NO CHARGE! Please let us know if you want to use one, so we can get it ready for you. This is a great way to test drive.
TRADE-UP POLICY When you purchase a new or previously loved sewing machine or serger from Sew n Sew, you have a full year to upgrade that machine and receive 100% of your purchase price toward the MSRP price of a new machine. Minimum of $300 to be considered an upgrade.
